Topshop 'Inhibition' Lipstick

Whilst perusing the Topshop sales last week, I knew I couldn't make it to the checkout without adding one of their lipsticks to my virtual basket. As most are more than aware, these lipsticks have a fantastic formula with some serious staying power, and the colour range is fantastic. For some reason I've always decided to shell out the extra £6 for a MAC lipstick, so this is only the second Topshop lipstick I've bought, but it has reaffirmed to me that you don't need to pay extortionate prices for a label when there are much cheaper, equally as good high street alternatives.

I'm all for vampier colours during autumn and winter, so deep wine reds and rich aubergine colours are my staples for nights out during the colder months, and I knew I would get wear out of a colour like this. Inhibition is described as a 'dark plum', which I would agree with, although on my lips it showed up more of a blackberry tone, with a more vibrant pink base to a darker plum finish. The formula is a little drying but that is to be expected more often than not with matte lipsticks, and if your lips are well-nourished beneath the product then it shouldn't cause too much issue. I'm also not a huge fan of the Topshop packaging, but that's by the by.

What do you think of Inhibition - would you consider wearing it?

Inhibition is £8.00 and can be bought in store and online here.

P.S. The lovely Becky from Beauty Becky has designed some beautiful social networking buttons for me in the right hand sidebar. She's looking into blog design and has been practicing, and I think she's fantastic - do go and have a look at her blog and make sure you follow her on Twitter if a blog re-design might be something you'd be interested in in the future!
