NOTD: Essie 'Leading Lady'

Today's NOTD is a beautiful polish from it-brand Essie, and one of two glitter-based polishes from their Winter 2012 Collection. Leading Lady* is described as a "supreme deep red with glitter", and I would have to dispute this - I think it's more of a deep wine red (and that is a difference. A big one. I swear) with lighter flecks. Although in the bottle it looks like a basic red glitter, it translates onto the nails into something entirely more exotic and I have to say I absolutely love it. I'm not really one for red nails but this is just gorgeous. The formula is lovely and quite similar to a jelly creme and applied opaque in 2 coats. Of course I don't need to say that getting the stuff off was a pain in the arse because what glitter polish isn't? I can't hold that against it, so this polish gets a massive thumbs up from me.

Essie polishes retail for £7.99 in Boots and Superdrug but you can usually find them cheaper if you have a quick hunt on the internet.
